The radio-locator is designed for detection of hazardous for flight areas of active thunderstorm, determination of airplane drift angle, as well as ground mapping for landmark orientation and flight-navigation tasks solution.
The radar is executed in form of definite-purpose units and according to appropriate complete sets are installed in the following civil and transport airplanes YAK-40, YAK-42, IL-62, IL-86, AN-24, AN-26, AN-30, AN-32, TU-134, TU-154.
